Grilled Chicken Margherita Pizza Recipe

Making pizza on the grill couldn’t be easier. Whip up grilled pizzas for your next backyard barbecue or birthday picnic. It hits all the right notes with fresh tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and grilled chicken and the simple recipe allows kids to join in the fun.

- pizza dough (sold raw in many delis and supermarkets): 1
- large tomato, sliced: 1
- fresh mozzarella cheese: 6 slices
- grilled chicken breast, sliced: 1
Step 1: Heat the grill to its medium setting, or prepare charcoals for grilling. Stretch the pizza dough into a large circle.
Step 2: Place the dough on the grill and close the cover. Cook for 3 – 4 minutes, until it has risen and grown firm.
Step 3: Flip the pizza dough. Top with tomato slices, mozzarella cheese and chicken. Close the cover and let cook for an additional 2 – 3 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
Step 4: Remove from the grill and let sit for five minutes before slicing. Enjoy!
